Six Days on the Road is one of the most covered tunes in country music. Dave Dudley was the first to record it and had a big hit with in in 1963. It launched his career. I learned it from one of my brothers before I’d ever heard a recording of it. Dudley played it pretty square, musically, but I like the rock n roll shuffle treatment heard here.
