10. Old Father Time (Jim Ringer, Folklore Music, ASCAP)

Jim Ringer wrote this compelling song. I first became aware of Jim as the guitar player for the Sweets Mill String Band that backed up Kenny Hall on an old-timey album on Bay Records. Later, he made several albums on Philo Records both solo and with Mary McCaslin. I found this on one of his solo efforts, and I fell in love with it immediately.
